AI Visibility Checker

Is Your Dealership Visible to AI Search?

Use our AI Visibility Audit to see how AI engines like ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, and Google AI Overviews find, understand, and cite your dealership. Enter your dealership below and we’ll walk your site the way an AI crawler does — checking whether it can reach your pages and whether the structured data it relies on is actually there.

What to expect: After you find your dealership and start the audit, our system inspects your robots.txt and XML sitemap, then reviews the structured data on your home page, inventory page, and a vehicle detail page. A scored report with every finding — and exactly how to close each gap — is sent to the email address you provide.

Step 1 of 9 Find Your Dealership

Every audit starts from your Google Business Profile — the record AI engines treat as the authoritative source for your dealership's name, address, phone, and website. Search for your dealership below and confirm the right location; we pull those details straight from Google so nothing is guessed.

Your home page is the front door for AI crawlers: it anchors your dealership's identity and links to everything else. We fetch the website listed on your Google profile, follow any redirects, and confirm which page is really your home page — exactly what an AI crawler does on its first visit.

⚠ This site's security settings are blocking automated audits.

We attempted to fetch through four tiers — direct crawl, residential proxy, scraping browser, and a premium anti-bot proxy — and every configured tier was rejected by the site's security settings. Without the home page we cannot evaluate AI crawler accessibility or produce a meaningful score.

If you'd like a member of the Overfuel team to perform a manual audit, leave your email below and we'll be in touch.

robots.txt is the gatekeeper file every crawler reads before anything else. We check three things: that the file exists, that it doesn't block the AI crawlers powering ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, and Google's AI features, and that it declares your XML sitemap so crawlers know where to find every page.

The XML sitemap is the map AI engines use to discover your pages — especially inventory, which is rarely linked deeply enough to find by browsing. We follow the sitemap declared in robots.txt, or probe the standard locations (/sitemap.xml, /sitemap_index.xml) when it isn't declared.

AI crawlers do read your home page — but page copy is unstructured, so they have to interpret it. Schema (JSON-LD) is structured data: an unambiguous cue that hands AI engines the facts critical to your visibility. On the home page we check for the dealership entity — AutoDealer, backed by Organization and LocalBusiness — plus an AggregateRating on the dealership itself, the machine-readable version of your customer-review score.

Your inventory page — the SRP, or Search Results Page — is where shoppers and AI engines find what you actually sell. We locate it from your sitemap (or common paths like /inventory) and check for ItemList schema — the structured cue that this page enumerates vehicles — alongside the AutoDealer entity. CollectionPage, BreadcrumbList, and FAQ markup earn bonus recognition when present.

A vehicle detail page (VDP) is where the specifics live: year, make, model, mileage, condition. We pick one from your sitemap and check for Vehicle or Car schema, BreadcrumbList (the structured path back to your inventory), and FAQPage answering shoppers' questions. A VDP isn't an e-commerce product page, so we don't demand Offer, Review, or Rating markup — Product and Image schema count as bonuses.

Why AI Visibility Is Critical for Modern Dealerships

AI engines read your pages — but plain page copy is unstructured, so they have to interpret it. Structured data (schema) hands them the facts directly, as an unambiguous machine-readable cue. In addition to a fast, well-built website, here is why being legible to AI is now a non-negotiable part of your digital strategy:

                • The Shift to AI Overviews & GEO Shoppers increasingly ask AI engines “which dealership near me has…” before they ever open a search results page. Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) is about being the dealership those engines confidently recommend — and that starts with data they can parse without guessing.
                • AutoDealer & Vehicle Schema AutoDealer schema declares who you are — name, location, contact, and your customer rating — while Vehicle and ItemList schema declare what you sell. Without them, AI engines infer your identity and inventory from raw text and frequently get prices, models, and availability wrong.
                • Crawler Access Comes First If your robots.txt blocks the crawlers behind ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, or Google’s AI features — or your XML sitemap can’t be found — none of the rest matters. The audit confirms the front door is open before it checks anything else.
                • Entity Consistency Builds Trust AI engines cross-reference your site against your Google Business Profile and the wider web. When your dealership’s name, address, phone, and rating are consistent and machine-readable everywhere, engines cite you with confidence instead of hedging or defaulting to a competitor.
